干扰素-β （IFN-β）是一种细胞因子，由成纤维细胞和暴露病原体的树突状细胞、巨噬细胞和内皮细胞产生。它通过异二聚体IFN-α/β受体发出信号。IFN-β缺陷小鼠对实验性自身免疫性脑脊髓炎（EAE）的易感性增加，EAE是人类多发性硬化症（MS）的疾病模型。此外，IFN-β已被证明可以抑制MS和EAE中的Th17细胞反应，并且通常用作MS的治疗方法。
